5th Trenčín Robot Day (TRD) – Information for guests from foreign countries

Place: Trenčín, City Sports Centre, Mládežnícka Street
Organizer: Secondary Vocational School, Pod Sokolicami 14, Trenčín
Patronage: the chairman of Trenčín autonomous region and the mayor of the city Trenčín
Main aim of TRD: popularization of science and technology among the youth
Audience: students of primary and secondary schools, universities and the public, approximately 400 spectators
Contestants: robotics groups of primary and secondary schools and universities, teams from the Slovak Republic, the Czech Republic, Germany, Romania, Finland and Denmark
Partnership: technically and robotically oriented companies
Media: Slovak Television, Markíza, TA3, SRo, Trenčín television, technical journals and regional press
Characterization of TRD: an international competition and exhibition of robots, which intends to show students of primary and secondary schools and universities as technically gifted creators with their own ideas and solutions and give the opportunity to present their ideas before potential future employers in the field of engineering and automation

9:00 opening of the competition, greeting the guests, speeches
9:20 – 12:10 competition in categories
11:00 press conference of the chairman of Trenčín autonomous region
12:10 – 12:30 results announcement in 3 categories
13:00 luncheon with the chairman of Trenčín autonomous region and
the mayor of the city Trenčín
In the course of competition in categories there will be also a cultural programme, presentations of partner companies and performance of the other robots.
